Click here for detail operation reference.
Way 2: Using Web Gallery Mate directly.
This way is a little bit complicated than Way 1. But this
way is much more flexible than Way 1 too. It's suitable for
advanced user.
(1) In the Site/Channel Tree, right-click the mouse button
and select "Add new website" from the popup-menu.
You can click the same menu item on the main menu or the relevant
button on the toolbars to add new website as well.
Give a name to your new website and also a brief description.
The maximum length of the website's name and description is
255 characters.
The new website's "Save folder" should not be too
long, the longer it is the longer the URL of your web gallery
will be.
(2) Select the new website you just created, right-click the
mouse button and select "Add new channel" from the
popup-menu. You can click the same menu item on the main menu
or the relevant button on the toolbars to add new channel
as well.
Give a name to your new channel and also a brief description.
The maximum length of the channel's name and description is
255 characters.
You have to at least set the "default channel page template"
for the new channel, otherwise this channel won't be published
correctly. By default, the three valid WGM template's default
channel pages' names are "channelpage1.htm", "channelpage2.htm"
and "channelpage3.htm" respectively.
(3) If you want to create more than one channel, please repeat
step (2).
(4) Now, you can begin to add images to the new channels you
just create.
There are 2 ways to add images to a channel. One is to drag-and-drop
images from Windows, and the other is to add image one by
one though Web Gallery Mate's "Add new image" menu
item. We recommend to use drag-and-drop, it's the best and
the fastest way to add image(s) to channels.
First of all, select the channel you want to add images. Then,
drag-and-drop images to the image list or add an image by
using the "add new image " menu item. You can "
edit the image information" after the images are added.
(5) Repeat step (4) to add images for other channels. Till
now, you have done most of the jobs for publishing your web
gallery. If you want to do local- publishing (create web gallery
in a local folder) only, you have done all the preparation
already.
Note: If you want to accelerate
the publishing procedure, pre-generate big and thumbnail images
first.
(6) If you want to publish your Web Gallery to an FTP host
on the Internet, please add a new FTP site in the FTP Site
list and set up the proper FTP parameters for it.
Select the site node you want to publish, right-click the
mouse button and select the " Publish website "
menu item from the popup-menu. According to your setting,
you can publish selected website to a local folder or to a
special FTP Site you have set up.

Web Gallery! You can browse your new website in Internet Explorer
through the " Browse website " menu item, and send
the URL of your Web Gallery to your friends via email. Let
every friends of yours share your photographs and happiness
on the Internet.

Each WGM template's default template file should follow the
naming rule below:
| Default
homepage |
index.htm |

detail page |
detail.htm |
| Default
channel page |
channelpage1.htm |
| 2nd
channel page |
channelpage2.htm |
| 3rd
channel page |
channelpage2.htm |
If the WGM template's designer follows this naming rule, you
only need to change the current template setting in "Edit

perfect, you need to republish the whole channel that you have
deleted images from to correct the errors.

order in my Web Gallery?

- Q: What's different between "Relative
images" and "Relative show images"?
A: In Web Gallery Mate, you can set relationship between
images. We call a group of images "Relative images"
when they are relative to a special image. Technically, "Relative
images" and "Relative show images" don't have
substantial difference. "Relative show images" is
a part of "Relative images" (it can be set in Edit
image information). You can think of "Relative show images"
as the most important part of "Relative images". On
the detail page, we will display the current image and all "Relative
show images", and put titles of the "Relative images"
at the bottom of the page as "rest of the story".
- Q: What's the purpose of setting "Relative
information" for image?
A: In most situations, images are not isolated. People
normally use several pictures to tell a story. Using "Relative
information" you can put more than one image into a group
so that they can be displayed on the same detail page.
- Q: How to add several images at the same
time to Web Gallery Mate?
A: Select the image files in Windows Explorer, and drag-and-drop
them into the Image list. Please make sure that the currently
selected channel in the Site/Channel Tree is the channel you
want to add new images.
After adding the new image files, you can edit image information
if necessary.
